Äkäskero Sleddogcenter and Nature Resort Cabins
Äkäskero Sleddogcenter runs dog sledding tours in the heart of Finnish Lapland, from half day tours to one week and two-week-long safaris into the Lappish wilderness.
We welcome groups and solo travelers alike. To keep our husky safaris truly authentic, our group size is max 6 people per team. Each participant will drive their own dog team of 4-6 dogs, led by one of our experienced guides. A team will depart even if we have just one participant, so if you are a solo traveler, you are more than welcome to join us!
Winter season is naturally dominated by dog sledding tours, but we also offer snowmobile trips and rent out snowshoes. For summer and autumn, the area is perfect for hiking, canoeing, fishing, renting out a fatbike or an ATV, mushroom and berry picking, walking with the dogs and much more. There are several trails leaving from the area into the national park. Our senior dogs love a cuddle too!
We also have traditional log cabins for rent, located in the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, which means that hiking and skiing options in the surrounding nature are ample.. Our cabins are available for renting a-year-round. During summer and autumn our cabins in the Husky Village are available for rent as well.
You will find us and our beloved huskies in Äkäskero, surrounded by the pristine and wild arctic nature.
Location:
The Sleddogventer and the cabins of the nature resort are located 20 km apart by car, 7 km apart via hiking trail.
