Did you know that Muonio has the most snowmobiles per inhabitant in Finland? The snowmobile is a great form of transportation and an important tool for many residents in everyday life. Our long and snow guaranteed winters and the extensive network of managed snowmobile routes allow you to move around in nature with the snowmobile throughout the snowy season. Please note, that sledging is only allowed on marked snowmobile routes and trails. Trail permits are not necessary when exploring around Muonio. However, you can make a donation to keep the trails and environment in good condition. Even as a beginner, you can enjoy nature and the scenery on a guided snowmobile safari.
